- Fresh berries โ 240 g (2 cups), divided
- Sugar for sauce โ 36 g (3 tablespoons)
- Lemon juice โ 7.5 ml (1/2 tablespoon)
Steps to Create Your Dessert
- Prepare Milk and Gelatin
Pour whole milk into a medium saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin. Let it sit for a few minutes until softened. - Heat Milk Mixture
Place on medium-low heat, stirring until gelatin dissolves completely without boiling. Wait until it’s steaming. - Add Cream and Sugar
Stir in heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Keep stirring until steaming again but avoid boiling. - Cool the Mixture
Remove from heat, cool for about 5 minutes. - Combine with Sour Cream
Gradually whisk the warm cream mixture into sour cream in a medium bowl with a pouring lip. Let it rest to dissipate bubbles. - Set in Glasses
Pour into desired serving glasses and refrigerate until set, about 4-6 hours. - Make the Berry Sauce
In a small pan, cook a cup of berries with sugar and lemon juice until syrupy. Stir in the remaining fresh berries off the heat. - Top the Panna Cotta
Once cooled or barely warmed, spoon the sauce over the set Panna Cottas. Garnish with mint or basil if desired.
Revel in each bite of this creamy, sumptuous dessert with its glossy, fruity topping. Itโs such a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, each spoonful offering a dance of textures and flavors. Feel free to experiment with different berries and garnishes to make it your own special creation!
